Summer Wedding at Daniel’s Ridge

Nathan and Ashton’s wedding day at Daniel’s Ridge was such a joy to be part of! These two are some of the sweetest people, and it was so easy to see how loved they are by their friends and family. Their wedding party was big, but every single person was all-in on celebrating them, which made the day feel even more fun.
August in North Carolina can be unpredictable, but the weather was absolutely perfect—sunny skies, warm air, and the kind of golden light photographers dream of. With so much natural light, Daniel’s Ridge is a gorgeous venue in any season. Their colors—beige and soft green—kept everything feeling timeless and elegant, while still perfectly summery.
As a Raleigh wedding photographer, I always aim to capture days just as they felt. Nathan and Ashton's relaxed wedding day vibe, genuine love for one another, and desire to keep their day focused around their faith and marriage shine through their gallery and I couldn't be more grateful to have been the one to capture it!

While many of the photos from my daughter’s wedding were beautiful, I was disappointed by the overall lack of balance and attention to detail. Not one of the photos including me, as the mother of the bride, was ever shared in any of the photographer’s public highlights (and there have been numerous), which was disheartening given the significance of the day.
Additionally, several of the final photos we received were noticeably off-center — something a professional photographer should have corrected in the moment by adjusting the positioning of the wedding party.
