Did anyone ever ask you growing up, if your house was on fire and you could only grab three things, what would they be? My first one was always our large collection of family photo albums. Throughout my entire childhood one of my favorite activities was sitting down and flipping through all of the little moments captured in our photo albums. Moments that captured every step of the relationship developed between me and my brothers, moments that captured versions of my parents from a life before mine, moments that captured our family's story.

Whether I am being hired for a newborn session, engagement photos, a birthday party, or wedding, it is my privilege and honor to be the one behind the camera capturing your story. Regardless of the occasion, my goal as your photographer is to capture photos that are intimate, personal, and timeless.

Hi! I'm Emma—27 year-old wedding and portrait photographer based out of Raleigh, North Carolina.

If you had asked me ten years ago what I'd be doing today, photography probably wouldn't have made my top five career choices (opening my own pizza shop actually ranked much higher)! Like all Enneagram 7's, I've always been drawn to new ideas and adventures. However, in 2019, while working as a photographer for NC State's student newspaper, I discovered an unexpected passion: celebrating people and preserving some of the most special moments in their life. I believe that God created us to have life to the full (John 10:10), and I am so grateful that my "job" is to reflect that through photography!

When I'm not behind the camera, you can typically find me with my husband, Kyle, our baby boy and our crazy Australian Shepherd doing something fun outside! We love all that North Carolina has to offer and can regularly be found taking day trips to the beach to surf, snowboarding at Beech or Sugar Mountain, camping, paddleboarding, training for races, and cheering on the Wolfpack football and basketball teams!

New Politics in 2014 at Cats Cradle. The band was just so stoked to be touring. At one point David Boyd was standing on the crowd as we held him up. You just had to be there!!
