Rachel and Clayton's love story began when they first met at a swim meet. Rachel's older sister jokingly shared during toasts that at the meet, Clayton came up behind her asking who the girl she was just talking to was. To which she responded, "that's my little sister, and she's still in middle school." Despite the age gap, Rachel and Clayton began a friendship that created the foundation for their relationship that came to be years later after graduating from college.
When searching for a venue, Rachel was immediately drawn to Separk Mansion and described it as, "timeless, elegant, and classy." Her wish was for something that would feel just as beautiful years from now as it did on their wedding day. As her and Clayton's photographer, I couldn't agree more! Separk Mansion is conveniently located for guests coming from Charlotte, Raleigh, or beyond, with Charlotte Douglas Airport being a short 25 minutes away. Once at the venue, the couple is provided with a beautiful getting ready suite, a classic grassy lawn perfect for cocktail hour, a designated outdoor ceremony space, and a stunning historic reception hall filled with character.
As a North Carolina wedding photographer, I have the opportunity to work with many couples at a variety of venues, but my experience with Rachel and Clayton at Separk Mansion was undoubtedly one of my favorites!
